About our Clun Beavers

The story of our Clun beavers began with a simple vision: to bring nature back into balance on our organic farm.

Trevor and Gleice introduced a pair of Eurasian beavers to a quiet, spring-fed valley on Brynmawr Farm, kickstarting one of Shropshire's most compelling private rewilding initiatives.

Within months, this industrious animal family reshaped a single stream into a sprawling network of dams, pools, and canals. Today, the family continues to thrive, creating an ever-changing landscape that attracts researchers, photographers, and TV production teams from around the UK.

Project Milestones:

• Successful initial reintroduction into a secure, extensive enclosure
• Establishment of multiple active dams and a central, multi-chambered main lodge
• Proven reduction in downstream water velocity during heavy rain storms
• Exponential increase in local amphibian, dragon-fly, and bird populations
• Development of our professional photography hide for low-impact viewing
