Brynmawr Farm is tucked away in the scenic, rolling landscape of the Clun Valley, near the Welsh border in southwestern Shropshire.

Because our site is a working organic farm designed to protect sensitive wildlife habitats, we ask all visitors to follow our detailed travel directions rather than relying solely on standard GPS.

Use our map guide to navigate the local lanes safely, find designated parking areas, and arrive ready for your booked session at the beaver hide.

Travel Details:

• Location: Near Clun, Shropshire (Full street address sent upon booking confirmation)
• By Car: Accessible via the A488; final approach involves narrow rural Shropshire lanes
• Parking: Free, secure on-site parking close to the farmyard and accommodation
• Arrival Protocol: Check in at the main farmhouse with Trevor or Gleice prior to entering the hide
• Accessibility: Brief walking distances across uneven pasture land to reach the hide location

How to get here:

From Clun (approx. 10–15 mins)

• Take the B4368 west out of Clun heading towards Newcastle on Clun.
• Pass through Newcastle on Clun and continue along the valley road following signs towards Anchor/Brynmawr.
• Turn onto the quiet country lane leading up toward Brynmawr Farm. Follow the lane carefully until you see the farm entrance on your right/left (as signposted).

From Bishop’s Castle (approx. 20–25 mins)

• Head south out of Bishop’s Castle on the A488 toward Clun.
• Upon arriving in Clun, turn right onto the B4368 west toward Newcastle on Clun.
• Continue through Newcastle on Clun and follow the single-track lanes up toward Brynmawr Farm.

From Craven Arms (approx. 25–30 mins)

• From the A49 at Craven Arms, turn onto the B4368 westbound signposted for Clun.
• Stay on the B4368 all the way into Clun, cross the river, and continue straight through town toward Newcastle on Clun.
• Proceed through Newcastle on Clun and follow the local lane directions up to Brynmawr Farm.

From Newtown (approx. 25–30 mins)

• Take the A489 east out of Newtown toward Kerry and the English border.
• Continue past Kerry and turn right onto the B4368 (signposted for Anchor/Clun).
• Follow the B4368 through Anchor as you cross into Shropshire, then take the local lane turning down toward Brynmawr Farm.

From Shrewsbury (approx. 50–60 mins)

• Take the A49 south from Shrewsbury through Church Stretton toward Craven Arms.
• At Craven Arms, turn right onto the B4368 west to Clun.
• Pass through Clun, continuing on the B4368 to Newcastle on Clun, and follow the single-track lanes up to Brynmawr Farm.

Note: SatNav can become unreliable in the Clun Valley and border country. Once you pass Clun or Kerry, rely on road signs for Newcastle on Clun / Brynmawr rather than GPS.
